GuruJal organized a plantation drives at Mojabad and Iqbalpur Pond sites. The purpose of these plantation drives is to beautify the site, enhance the biodiversity and create community ownership at the pond site.

In the Mojabad plantation drive, 20 Civil Defence volunteers participated and carried out plantation activity. Sarpanch of Mojabad and 20 villagers actively participated in the activity.

Out of 40 MGNREGA workers that worked on the beautification of the Iqbalpur pond site 32 happened to be women. These women said that they feel empowered because they have received an opportunity to work and earn during the difficult Covid pandemic times. They have planted 400 saplings at the Iqbalpur pond stretched in an area of 2.5 acres.

650 plants have been planted in these sites which include plants like Neem, Jamun, Peepal, Banyan, Sheesham, Anarmi and Kahna.
