51 FARMER WORKSHOPS
As a part of the event under the Event Calendar of Jal Shakti Abhiyan launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, in the upcoming event, GuruJal is conducting 51 Workshops on the 29th and 30th of August, 2019, for Farmers throughout the District. These workshops will be held by District Agriculture and Horticulture Departments.
The purpose of this is to encourage the farmers who are the backbone of any Agricultural Economy, to opt for environment friendly and water saving ways of Agricultural Practices.
Before creating the module for the training, a field visit to all the four blocks of Gurugram was made, understanding the awareness quotient among the farmers and asking them what would they like to be informed about incorporating their everyday farming needs. Through this brief field study, it was deduced that the farmers should be given training on Diverse cropping, Micro Irrigation, Climate Smart Action, Crop Residue Management, Government schemes like PMKSY, Meri Fasal Mera Byora, etc., Bio fertilizers, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), and similar lines.
